Raffaele Galardi 1959

CGP traces its story back to the early 1960s when Raffaele Galardi, embarked on a new life in Australia, arriving from Italy by boat.

Raffaele began his career on the construction sites of Sydney, starting as a concreter and builder. This was an era where the construction industry was marked by its rough and rugged nature and demanding conditions where Unions were known for heavy handed politics to say the least.

In my blood, I carry a heritage of craftsmanship and leadership that spans generations. My father's relentless pursuit of quality and artistry in design, architecture and heavy construction, earned him recognition as a true master of his trade.

Through tireless effort and an understanding of enhancing productivity amongst his workers, Raffaele ascended through the ranks, and invested in his own sideline startup, importing luxury goods from Italy and eventually expanding into manufacturing with a factory in Sydney, all whilst still working hard in the construction business.

He cultivated close relationships with prominent developers, further cementing his honorable standing within the industry.

Notable projects under his supervision included the UNSW Wallace Wurth Building, graced by the presence of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II during its unveiling in 1963.

Under his guidance, I was raised amidst the world of construction, property development, manufacturing and importing.

Those early years on construction sites instilled in me a profound appreciation for building and property development. I inherited more than just a legacy; The manufacturing and trading became second nature and I inherited the values of integrity, dedication, and a commitment to excellence.

Over the years, I've had the privilege of expanding my network with individuals across various sectors, including government, real estate, commodities, law and finance from around the world.

My commitment to professionalism and integrity has played a key role in the various successful ventures. I have consistently prioritised a diligent focus on detail and demonstrated proficiency in addressing complex challenges to identify optimal solutions.
